About us
Who We Are
ICEECO is a Kenyan non-governmental organization (NGO) founded in 2008 and registered with the NGOs Coordination Board in 2010.
We work across Busia, Bungoma, and Trans-Nzoia Counties with a mission to empower rural communities through capacity building, livelihood improvement, and environmental conservation.
ICEECO operates through a Board of Directors (9 members) with expertise in environment, agriculture, children’s rights, finance, management, and communication. The organization also collaborates with local CBOs, affiliate self-help groups, and trained community resource persons (CORPs) who extend outreach to households.
OUR PROGRAMS
ICEECO runs three flagship programs:
1. Environment & Climate Change (ECC)
We restore ecosystems through tree planting, watershed protection, clean energy promotion, & nature-based enterprises like beekeeping & fish farming.
2. Africhild Initiative
(ACI)
We support orphans and vulnerable children with education, health care, psychosocial support, and vocational training for sustainable futures.
3. Food Security & Livelihoods (FSL)
We promote diversified farming, poultry projects, agribusiness training, and Village Savings & Loan (VSL) groups to improve household incomes.
